Brick Mason – Expert Construction and Repair Services
A Brick Mason lays building materials, including concrete and brick, and constructs or repairs surfaces and structures. The job may involve working in environments where movement is restricted, with the possibility of carrying or lifting heavy objects. Brick Masonry professionals are integral to both new construction and renovation projects.
Responsibilities of a Brick Mason:
- Preparing surfaces before beginning work.
- Laying blocks or bricks according to blueprints, plans, or drawings.
- Determining work requirements and sequencing masonry/tile assignments.
- Using tools such as chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares, and levels to lay out work.
- Mixing cement with hoes, cement-mixing equipment, and hand tools.
- Cutting or breaking bricks for accurate placement.
- Operating powered abrasive saws, paving breakers, drills, and other hand tools.
- Molding expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedges.
- Operating equipment like forklifts, dump trucks, and flatbeds for material handling.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of masonry tools, techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Previous experience in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of masonry structures.
Construction Laborer – Skilled Workforce for Your Construction Projects
A Construction Laborer performs physical tasks at construction sites, handling both hand and power tools such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, and small mechanical hoists. This role also includes duties like cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, and assisting in structural support.
Responsibilities of a Construction Laborer:
- Cleaning and preparing sites, ensuring all work areas are safe and clear.
- Digging trenches and setting up braces to support excavation sites.
- Erecting scaffolding and performing other site-specific tasks.
- Operating a range of tools like air hammers, cement mixers, and surveying equipment.
- Cleaning up rubble, debris, and other waste materials after a project.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in general home construction, both new builds and renovations.
- Skilled in performing routine manual labor and maintaining high energy on the job.
